If you end up staying a bit out side the centre of the city there runs ski busses this is very cool as they are free! (part of the lifts card) But they only runs until 18.30 after this there is a night bus that runs ones every full hour from St. Anton at a price of 4 euros if your not to that the taxi ride will cost you 12 euros before 20.00 and 18 euros after. And we a talking about a fairly little ride after the first time we made it we where all sure that we had been cheated by the driver as we did not agree on a price before the trip. So if your planning a trip take this into account when you look a hotel prices as you will easy spend a lot of money on taxis and time riding them.
As I mentioned somewhere else in these travel pages, we stayed at the same hotel as some other people who paid half what we're paying...Mainly cuz we did a last minute booking and didn't ask around much
Unique Suggestions: Check with your local tour operators on packages and deals..
One of the instructures was telling us that some people pay some EUR 800 for a ten day trip, including the ski rentals, hotel, food, ski pass!
As one wise sales man was telling me; everyone's happy and skiing so they don't care about money..
Everything will be on "Sale" Apart from a couple of souvenours, nothing's all thaaaat special, unless you really want it.
Bottom line: you are there to have Fun, if its in spending on stuff you'll find everywhere else- enjoy! but I highly recommend setting a travel budget/limit on yourself before heading there.
