steevie_wanders Says: Massive slabs of cake and puddings! Also beer on tap. Very warm and friendly place, especially if you go in there every day.Typical scenario: walk 3-4 hours in the hills. Burn off 900 calories. Restaurant: cake + beer replace 900 calories plus 900 calories...Wouldn't be fun...

sandysmith Says: On the ride up the Brandstl lift the fir trees were really laden with fir cones - I'd never seen so many, they must literally have been ready to drop. Don't forget to look at the scenery too as you glide effortlessly up.
Always say 'Gross Gott' to the cows
steevie_wanders Says: It's always pleasant to say hi to the cows. In Austria the polite form is 'Gross Gott' (Austrians please correct me on my spelling).The cows appreciate it and once you get to know them, they sometimes will play you 'jingle bells' using their own neck bells.Moo!
