    No wish will remain open for the skiing enthusiast - provided there is enough snow. In the poor winter 2006/07 they were decently able to solve much of the problem with help of rather "violennt" high-tech - with (snow)-guns, (snow)-lances etc.

    The thing is offficially named "Dorfbahn" and is in fact a small Underground with a train consisting of two coaches and has four stations named "Parkplatz" (parking area, no visitor's cars allowed in the village), "Kirche" (church), "Raiffeisenkasse" (bank) and "Seilbahn" (funicular). The underground track is 1,5 km long and the thing operates already since more than 20 years. In winter you can ride on it free of charge.     Patschi is situated just opposite the house we stayed at (Haus Schönblick) so even not participating (every day) in its apres-ski activities we could see that the place is always crowded with people resting after skiing!
    It's situated very logically :) so that people almost can't pass by while skiing down to the village: the piste that is descending from Komperdell to Serfaus is finished near the entrance to the pub!
    If you've ever skied in Austria you should know that apres-ski is one of the main part of Austrian vacations. So, don't miss the place, join apres-ski party at Patschi with beer, glüwein and dancing to the merry Tirolian music.
    Depending on the weather, the party is going from 3-4pm till 7pm

  • Directions: Choose the Mittelabfahrt piste while coming back to Serfaus after skiing and it will bring you to the place. Or just go up the stairs from the Serfaus Seilbahn Infobüro.
