The village centre of Soell is fairly small - the church a few shops, restaurants and hotels.
The main hotel in the centre is the Postwirt - worth a look for the colourful frescoes with adorn its facade and gabled windows.

At 1829 meters altitude, on the summit of the Hohe Salve, is Austria's highest situated church, the "Salvenkirchlein". The origins of this church are cloaked in numerous legends and sagas. Inside the porch area the walls are covered with pictures amd memorials to loved ones who have passed away.

A short walk up from the Hochsoll gondola is this pretty little pilgrimage church atop a rock at the foot of the Hohe Salve Its called Stampfanger - due to its site also known as "at the stone" - which can only be reached over a covered bridge with a shingled roof. It was first constructed in 1660, then rebuilt in 1757. At that time the simple, octagonal central part of the building was enlarged with the sanctuary containing the altar; and the tower (after its prior elevation) was adorned with an onion-shaped dome.

The red bubble is a newly constructed gondola that replaced an endless and painful T-bar.
It takes you from the middle station to the top of Hohe Salve where is located the highest church in Austria.
