Swimming in the warmest lake of Tirol

When thinking of Kitzbühel most tourists think of a winter-resort, but this area is also great in the summer and in Schwarzsee you will be able to take a bath in the warmest lake of the Alps. There is an excellent natural swimming-area there at Schwarzsee and a lot of facilities and while swimming you will also have a perfect panorama-view of the austrian Alps. A part of the ground of the lake is made of moore, that is why the water is not totally clear there, but it is healthy to swim there. There are changing-rooms and lockers, restrooms and a cafe and restaurant plus a Kiosk. You will also find a large carpark.

Tirol has so many biking and mountain biking routes that it is hard to choose.CYCLE ROUTESBut one event is definitly a must-see when you are there.The highlight of the biking season is certainly the KITZALP-BIKE cycle marathon, which with its 96km and at an altitude of 3,600 metres, is among the toughest bike marathons in Europe (Kirchber - Brixen im Thale - Kitzb?hel, on 27th June 2004) and really demands a great deal from the participants.You will love the buys in lycra -ohhhh yess!! Haha!Since you won't be able to keep up with the pro's - no worries --- awaiting the hobby biker are numerous stunning bike trails set in unique natural countryside, plenty of sights as well as welcoming inns and traditional mountain huts for you to enjoy a break. An endless skiing paradise

Tyrol offers enough room for Alpine pleasure. For my 1st stay I have explore the snowy slopes of some main ski resorts as Ischgl, Sölden, Serfaus or HochZeiger Piztal. Hope to discover more soon ;-)I was impressed by the modern and high capacity cable cars, extensive snow making system and Après ski spots compared to my usual Swiss Alps skiing areas... Lack of snow coverage is not (yet) a problem and Tyrolian Alps offer you great slopes to enjoy your skiing days. So do not miss the opportunity to taste the local snow and... GO SKIING!!!
