Vils Things to Do
The Chained Eagle Fountain
I thought this fountain was quite cute so took a photo of it. I am not sure if it is supposed to represent something or if it is just a pretty fountain. It is certainly a welcome sight on a hot summers day when you want to splash some water on your face in order to cool down.Related to:
We noticed there was a museum in the Little Castle in Vils, but we did not visit it. Neither of us are very interested in museums, though we both like to visit old castles. Vils is more about scenery than sights as well as just being a very peaceful place to be.Related to:

View over town on walk back from station
I just like this picture. The church is very impressive in my opinion and the background scenery is magnificent. You cannot really go wrong for a wonderful photograph in the Tirol.; just pick up your camera and point at anything. There are mountains, trees, flowers, lakes churches and lovely wooden houses everywhere.Related to:
The Schwarzer Adler: Friendly place, good food.
The Schwarzer Adler had a friendly barmaid, good beer and good food. We had excellent weiner scnitzel and cordon bleu here. Like everywhere in Austria it was very clean and very comfortable. The food was freshly prepared and the beer was lovely and cold. Perfect after a long, long walk home.
Vils Warnings and Dangers
Beware of the dog
Our bed and breakfast owners had rather a large (and very friendly dog) that took a shine to my husband.
