Popular Restaurants | Miscellaneous Restaurants Tips | All Tips (13) The meal was a specialty of the area and the family that owns and operates the Alte Post all enjoyed the meal with us. There was a great opportunity to show photos of places visited and for them to suggest more places to walk.
The Gemutlicheit was very apparent as we were greeted like old friends.
The meal was 8 years ago and I honestly could not remember what was served for us, however it was a great meal and the total food and ambience set the occasion aside as a one to remember with pleasure. Oooohhhh...If you like it rich and tasty, then this is the place for you! All local cuisine, all the time. Not for the faint of heart!

The restaurant Galileo is located just 200 meters from the 4-Länder Hotel Deutschmann. In this restaurant you can taste a good italian cousine with a good choices of pasta, pizza and more!!! ANOTHER GOOD PLACE TO EAT AND WATCH THE EVERY DAY LIFE WAS THIS PLACE AND FOR £16 buys a three-course dinner in the Maurachbund, a classic "local", where everyone shares the wooden tables. Expect hearty dishes, such as venison, followed by Topfennockerl (dumplings) for dessert.

The restaurant is located right at the harbour so it was a good deal for us after our stroll. Coffee and apple strudel with vanille ice cream rounded our break. It was very yummy. They also serve fish and meat dishes.

I was only there for the day and didn't eat in a restaurant, but my recommendation for an idylic meal is go to the Spar at the top of town and pick up some bread, cheese, ham salad etc and take your packed dinner down to the lakeside and watch the sun set while you munch, beautiful (and cheap too!).
Fresh air, water lapping at your feet, lots of sparrows eating your dropped crumbs and a beautiful sunset!

Must be a nice surrounding for VT´s, because the canvas on the seats is actually a worldmap.
I had spaghetti with garlic, oil and pfefferoni. Superb, - with a beer I asume, that

The Hafenrestaurant, at one end of the building shared by the shipping companies and Bregenz-Hafen railway station, where I sat in the sun munching a massive portion of Bodensee whitefish panfried in butter, with new potatoes and fresh vegetables, while with a single sweep of my gaze I could watch the trains passing through and the boats docking and casting off. Idyllic - the whole meal, with dessert and mineral water, came to 25 Euros.
I couldn't believe it when the waitress brought my order - a pan piled high with three big pieces of fresh Bodensee whitefish drowning in butter, with a dish of new potatoes and another of fresh vegtables - all for me, it looked enough for two or three!
