    I suppose everyone is drawn to the Pfaenderbahn because everyone wants to see the view of the 3 countries merging around the Bodensee. At the top of the mountain, you can visit the zoo and watch the bird show, while enjoying the scenery.

  • The Pfander - the walk down, away from the people, the top of the mountain and all it's trappings is the only reason to go up.

    The tourist office is a new piece of architecture made by a famous austrian architect and is visited by many tourists.

  • I've never heard of 'real' tourist traps in our country, because we really live in a very safe area. But you know - pickpocketing is possible everywhere.
    The prices for food and drink is comparable to US-standard, but if you pay about $ 30,- a meal (including 2 drinks - beer or wine) you really can get a very decent meal - and you don't have to wait 'to be seated' - you just pick the table you like.
