Proceed to HOFBURG (the Imperial Palace) State Apartments & visit its TREASURY: where Franz-Joseph I and Empress Elizabeth (the very beautiful and noble Sissi) once resided. A visit to the Treasury (at least 3 hours are required in order to see most of the display) leave a lasting impression. Visit SCHONBRUNN PALACE, the former summer residence of the Habsburgs. The palace was built by Austrian architect J. B. Fischer von Erlach modelling after Versailles. The palace contain 1441 rooms. This delightful palace is one of Habsburgs' favorites and the Apartments of Franz-Joseph and Sissi are opened to the public for viewing.
