Lubella: My favorite place to have dinner on Dec 24th

Going out to have dinner on December 24th is quite a problem in Vienna, because many restaurants will close early that evening, even when they normally have inscriptions like "open 365 days a year untill midnight".Restaurant Lubella once saved me from starving that night and since then it became my favorite place to have dinner on Dec 24th.RESTAURANT Lubella is open daily 11am-11.30pm, also on Dec. 24th, NORMALLY no reservation needed, but maybe a good idea for Dec. 24th !As a single person I always found a table for my own ! They have italian, russian and austria specialities, I normally take sauted liver or a pizza.

Xmas-market of Karlsplatz: Flammkuchen, Crepes & more

When it comes to food and drinks, the christmasmarket at Karlsplatz was my favorite in 2009 ! Flammkuchen is quite similar to a pizza, but the dough is a lot thinner. It will be freshly prepared and takes about 5 minutes. The cheapest is the one with garlic butter for just 2,50 euros, the others have onions, ham, bacon etc. for up to 4 euros.Crepes are available as well at Karlsplatz, the cheapest are the ones with apricot-jam for 3 euros and the most expensive are Crepes Suzettes for 6,50.
