The weather was extremely cold in December. Ask Kim, who was minus a hat after the game because the policewoman wanted a souvenir....ahh nice Leave a Comment

at the time of my visit, the temperature in vienna didn't go above freezing so, too bad for me. however, i knew that beforehand (thanks to accuweather.com). always check what the weather will be like especially if you're travelling during the winter so you can anticipate any problems that might arise. insulated boots are perfect since you'll still be doing a lot of walking and you don't want to be burdened by the weight of your shoes. when in doubt, wear layers, you can always take a layer off if it gets too warm (it didn't happen in my case tho!). a hat/scarf/gloves - a lot of heat gets lost from your head so cover up. i wish i'd thought to bring handwarmers with me - gloves weren't enough.

If you're into shopping (not my case), it's advised to take an extra bag. You can always put it in another bag if you don't need it!
Always take good walking shoes because you'll cover a lot of kms walking round the city. It's also advised to wear layers of clothing for the same reason.
If you're staying in a hostel, you'll be asked to take your towels, soap and other toiletries.
Be sure to have a good camera so that you can capture all the beauties of this wonderful city.
The weather in Vienna's changeable, at least it was such when we visited it, so you'd better take something warm, and don't go anywhere without your umbrella or a raincoat that you can put in your rucksack. Leave a Comment Website: www.weather.com

Take a comfortable backpack with not too much weight...
Good walking shoes are a must...you will probably walk almost everywhere you go...
Make sure you take a lot of film for the many photos you will want to take. A zoom lens also comes in handy for getting to those 'hard to reach' places... A tripod is a great addition too for those night photos...Vienna has some great buildings to photograph at night... Leave a Comment
