Oh my goodness, I LOVE H & M! I went in once and came out with about three garbage bags (not literally) full of clothes for about $50. I bought sweaters, black wool pants (still my favorite pants of all time), a dress, skirts, shirts...I go nuts every time I go in there. Sure, the quality isn't that great, but it's cheap and if you want something in the current style you could do a lot worse. Just be warned-the lines to the dressing rooms are extraordinarily long. If you want to get clothes from H&M, Schopps, Vero Moda, Zara, Mango or Peek and Cloppenburg, or look for a CD at Virgin Megastore, Cosmos or Saturn, if you want to eat icecream, bizzi pizza or McDonalds, if you want to buy furniture, jewellrey or souvenirs, guidebooks from Amadeus, children's toys from Muller, designer clothes, book a holiday........try Mariahilferstrasse, in fact this is the best shopping in Vienna with lots of cafes in between (U2 - Museumsquartier, U3 Neubaugasse, Zieglergasse or Westbahnhof (also U6), 2a, 13a or 14a buses, trams 16 or 18 to Westbahnhof). Its a great shopping trip out but don't forget the shops close at 17:00 on Saturdays and don't forget the cafes along the street and on top of the Gerngross department store!!
