As has been pointed out on VT approximately ten-thousand times, most shops in Vienna are closed on Sundays, including grocery stores / supermarkets. However, there are notable exceptions: 1) In larger railway stations and airports, there's often at least one supermarket that's open every day. In Vienna, there are Billa markets in the Franz-Josefs-Bahnhof and on Praterstern (Wien Nord), for instance. There are also stores specialising on travel food (e.g. "Okay"), but those are more expensive and don't have the full range of products of a regular supermarket. 2) Many petrol stations have small shops offering a limited range of products such as milk, cheese, sausage, bread, salted snacks and of course beer (which seems to be their major source of income). They're more expensive than regular supermarkets, but they're usually open until midnight or even 24 hours. There's one between Schwedenplatz and Schottenring, for instance.
