    Very impressive looking art nouveau architecture. I especially like the stenciled floral drawing on the wall. Designed by Otto Wagern (one of the Secession movement artist) it was supposed to be the urban train stations....but were there trains then!!!

  • Directions: very close to the St Charles church and also to Secession. Nearby is the train by Kalsplatz name and quite a seedy area.

  • We attended a part of Easter Sunday's ceremony in Karlskirche. The church is very beautiful, surrounded with green garden and Karlsplatz, the square in front of Karlskirche, has a big fountain (we found it empty!) with a sculpture in it! At the entrance of Karlskirche there are two angels. The left one represents the Old testament and the right the New testament. The church is a mix of baroque style and oriental. It's different from typical western Europe churches! Next to church and platz there is the Museum of Ciy of Vienna.
