The gardens of Schloss Schonbrunn are a delight, full of fairytale follies and wonderous fountains. A perfect blue sky ahead, and there's nowhere better to be.

You can reach Gloriette when you go up the hill from the Schönbrunn Palace. It has a wonderful view of the whole city and a has a cafe inside.

    Schönbrunn Palace gardens - Gloriette

    Gloriette

In the gardens of Schönbrunn Palace, make sure you venture to the Gloriette, the ornate pavilion at the far side of the grounds, opposite the palace itself.

    A view of Schunbrunn

Beyond description, the money that must have been spent to build and maintain these grounds is staggering.

Tiergarten Schonbrunn (also known as Vienna Zoo) looks back to 250 years of history, and features quite a few exotic animals, even such rare species as the giant panda. Definitely worths a visit.

    Don't miss the Schönbrunn...

by Teve Written Aug 25, 2002

Don't miss the Schönbrunn Castle. It was the royal palace of the famous Sissi. Stroll around the huge park around the castle after seeing its glamorous interior.
