    If you buy a ticket like one-day-travel pass , it's really useful to look around Vienna and it can also save money!! With this ticket you can take all of the vehicles; U-Bahn, bus and lovely tram.
    The price of Oneday-Ticket is 60AS compared to the price of a sigle ticket, 20AS.

    "72 hours Vienna Card" - that is what we bought on the following day of our arrival and it was a good deal. The Vienna ticket gives you unlimited travel on the public transport and reductions to museums etc. It definitely was worth it with all the travel and sight-seeing that we did in our 3 full days in Vienna. It cost 16.90 Euro
    We bought ours at the hotel. The card comes with a brochure that shows you all the places where you get reduction.

  • If you're in Vienna for one or three days get up a Vienna Card (the 24-hour one costs 5 Euros and the 72 hour 12 Euros). They are valid for the time stated form the moment they're punched in a stamping machine when entering the metro or in the bus or tram and are valid for all the public transport.

  • Since I only stayed 3 days in Vienna, the receptionist at the hotel advised me to use 1-way tickets. However, I found the Vienna card more than useful - actually, you can buy one valid for exactly 72 hours. It gives you free access to public transportation in-town (bus, tram, underground), plus a wide range of discounts for museums, etc., even bonusses in restaurants and shops. The 16.90 Euro paid back in full, and I was lazy - a zealous tourist would have made much more use of the card.

    The 72 Stunden (Hours) Karte give you the possibility to travel on buses, trams and U-bahn for free. It costs 12 euros on the other side a single run costs about 1.60 euro. It is not valid on night buses where the single run costs 1.10 euro. I used the trams to relax my body after a long walk watching outside the window... and it was very usefull.
    This isn't the Card that give you the discounts at the museums and you can buy it at the Tabak Traffic shop.

  • With Vienna Card you can reach most of city sightseeings at reasonable prices .You can also have acces to all public transportation.I buy the 3 days card for 17 Euro.

  • A 24 hour ticket for subway, tram and bus costs only 5 EUR. When you are in Vienna for a few days there are a few cheap ticket options for public transportation. A 72 hour ticket costs only 12 EUR. If you are in Vienna for a whole week there's the even cheaper week pass for 12.50 EUR available. There a vending machines in all subway stations. You can also buy the tickets in tabacco stored called "Trafik".

  • At at cashiers place in Westbahnhof (where the trains are located) you can buy weekly/monthly/yearly passes for the Zone 100 (Vienna). This is all inclusive and allows you to take any kind of transportation for the entire week/month you're there. It's excellent because it's much cheaper and after you have the card you can revalidate it by buying the sticker (for a week or month) from a regular electronic ticket dispenser. This only operates from Sunday-Saturday but is definitely the cheapest option!

  • I purchased one of these at the airport. They are great for just hoppoing on and off of Metros and Trams.

    The system is such that you get to see a lot more than you would on foot.
