by catdockev

See Vienna, it is uniquely Austrian. Eat all the way to the Klimt Museum. It is in the Upper Belvadere Palace in The Austrian Gallery. Rooms filled with Klimt's enormous canvasses glistening gold! A great gift shop too! The statues all over the city are sparkling white and very classical. See St. Stephen's Cathedral and Platz. The shops, cobblestone, food and architecture are magical.

visit Salzburg, the most European city of Old Europe, and Vienna (Wien)But I'd also visit Linzbecause that is closer to where my family came from sitting in the home of cousins with the same last name, sitting in the house of a friend and hearing his elderly mother who only speaks German sing songs and strum a guitar -- Okay, you can't do those things, so go to a Kafe/Konditorei and eat and watch the people

austria is a marvellous country;unfortunately,I do not speak enough german(even after 11 years of german at school and college),otherwise,I would directly leave and move to austria to live there;Wien is an incredible city, and Salzburg is so cute that it looks like a disney village Fruhstück(breakfast) in a little hotel in Wien;I had a short conversation with the waitress while I was looking at the scenery through the window:a hard snow was falling in the garden;the waitress told me that 1 week before, the temperature fell down in her village to -30°C.I asked her if she wanted to go back to her village,so I could take her job and stay in Vienna(I am nasty sometimes)

When you will decide to visit...

by renegade

When you will decide to visit Austria do it in winter time, and bring with you ski's accessories. Why that, because here you can taste all the beauty of Alps and you can skating as well on the lakes around here. There are a lot of restaurant, where you will tase the foods which are tipical of that kind of country, and you maybe will enjoy in your holiday here. As you can see I live in Slovenia, which is near to Austria, and we as well have skiing center, but if you enjoy in skiing as I do, you will understand why I miss Austria any time.
