Receiving Mail - A Bit of Advice

by aliante1981

Everybody (well, almost!) likes receiving letters - I certainly do, though there are other, more modern and efficient means of communication - e-mail, phone, and such like. However, if you simply like getting letters or if you need, say, the originals or paper copies of some documents sent to you while you are on the move, you can use the poste restante service. Your best bet is to use the American Express service, which is available for free to clients - you should hold either their card or travellers cheques. They are reliable and present in all major cities.

A Gathering In Vienna...

by coceng

This was a sort of gathering in Vienna; Axel, Matthias, Axel's friend & me...sitting at this nice bar in Vienna. We came back late as Axel was so eager to show me some 'nightlifes' around Vienna...There's a laidback feel about the nightlife in Vienna & that's what I love most !

Durnstein

by Paul2001

I took a quick tour of Durnstein after my boattrip down the Danube River. It is a pretty town with a lovely Baroque church that dominates the town. The tower of the church is considered by some to be the finest Baroque structure in all of Austria. For my money, I prefer Melk but the tower is magnificent just the same. The ruined castle on the hill overlooking the town is supposedly where King Richard the Lion Hearted was held hostage by King Leopold of Austria. I sort of wish I had spent more time here and the town was quite charming.

Tip Photo
Vienna...

by Sweetberry1

Vienna is a beautiful city, so much history, and the architecture sure is something special. Certainly one of the most beautiful cities in the world...Unfortunately, most of the photos of my visit here are in my memories.. Picking wildflowers in the fields, after the snow had melted..The train trip to Vienna, and the return trip by car.. the scenery along the way was unforgettable.

Stroll the Danube River banks

by Martin_S.

Undoubtedly the Danube is one of the most famous rivers in the world, being as well known as the Amazon, Nile and Mississippi, even though only a fraction the size. The scenery along the riverbanks is green and peaceful so if you stop and take a walk "just because its there".
