Pack to Vienna

by dr.firas

Please don't forget a warm coat when you go in the Christmas period, it is so importnat, Vienna at winter time is really cold, especially at night, so better be careful and ready, as nothing is more lovely than taking a walk at night for a visitor, so you'd do it in the right warm way!

Good Luggage on wheels If you are travelling here in the Autumn or Winter.. remember the thermal wear.. I was here in November, and thought I would never survive.. LOL.. But then.. I live in Australia.. ;-) Another thing I would never leave home without, is a good camera.. An absolute MUST!!! After the night I spent sitting outside at a tramstop, in below zero temps, because a certain man didn't think we would need to book ahead for accommodation.. I really could have used some good camping gear.. LOL...

Pack Warm Clothes

by andreaarp

Bring lots of warm clothes. Being that everything to do was outside I was definately glad I had brought lots of layers and waterproof clothes. It was windy and cold at the top of the mountains- definately had to stop and get some gleu wine (don't know if it is spelled right, but it is called glow wine and it is warm and delicious.) If you are ever in Germany, Austria or Switzerland you have to try it. But don't drink too much... Gets you drunk fast and that doesn't go over well when you're skiing.

Packing List

by Kathi_Kg

Depends where u go, anything is possible! Take jackets and shoes such as neopren staff with u, because u definitely can get into bad weather, depending on the type of travel u do and where u go. Good shoes are a must, also when u run around in one of our cities. u will find all kind of equipment in Austrian photo stores so dont hesitate taking your normal equipment with u. Good shoes and warm clothes. It can get cold...also in summer u can experience cold nights.

Never forget good hiking shoes and clothes for the rain. The wether was sunny and hot when I was in Austria but suddenly a thunder came, necessary with rain...and when you're walking in the mountain with a t-shirt, you can imagine it's not really pleasant.
