This is the oldest cafe in the city of Salzburg and the longest serving cafe still in existence in Austria, under the ownership of the Tomasellis since 1852.
It is a wonderful place for people watching and the cakes are lovely.
It is also rumoured that Mozart preferred this café to any other.
I must admit the waiters were not very friendly and you were asked to pay to use the loo!

Coffee houses are in abundance in this city but some stand out more than others, We came to Landtmann in the first districf. I felt scruffy compared to most of the people in there who were mostly very well dressed.
Opend by Franz Landtmann it is by far one of Vienna's finest coffee houses. The four wooden columns at the entrance are certainly eyecatchers

Lienz did not seem to have many restaurants open on the evening we were there and as it was our wedding anniversary we wanted somewhere special. We chose Sunny's restaurant. It is attached to the Best Western Sonne Hotel in a little square in the centre.
The service was good and the terrace where we ate was a lovely place to eat.
The price of the meals was good too.

After a 1.5 hours walk from the top of the Krimml waterfalls along alpine pastures, you will reach the Krimml Tauernhaus. This hut is over 600 years old and was an important base for many merchants and hikers who already used this crossing point in the Middle Ages. It's an excellent place to rest and have something to eat or drink. The interior is lovely, and there is a little playground for children. Leave a Comment

Excellent Austrian and alpine cuisine. The smell of chickens roasting in the fire pervaded the place, making it difficult not to salivate while ordering.
Great beer, great atmosphere, great food. Very reasonable prices.

My favourite restaurant is in Wiener Neustadt, and it is called 'Stachls'. There u will find traditional as well as nouvelle cuisine for a reasonable price.
This restaurant has everything a typical Austrian restaurant needs. A cosy atmosphere, friendly waiters and reasonable prices. Most important of all: EXCELLENT WINES!!!

"Dine Around" is a nice idea to get aquaited with a small medieval town like Steyr !
You will take a walk with a "Nachtwächter" / night-watchman and get a hot or cold welcome-drink, a soup, a maincourse and a desert - all at different stations and restaurants in Steyr .
The menu of these Dine Around-events is always a bit different and one of the best stations of the tour might be the spire of the gothic Stadtpfarrkirche, where you will have the very best view over the town and will be served a glass of Sekt / sparkling wine.

This was a restaurant that we called into on the way back home for lunch. A very small quiet place, and be warned, not all restaurants will take the plastic either, this one certainly didn't.

I learned there is a special thing about old bar's or cafe's in Vienna, the special atmosphere of joy, when people take their arms in arms and start singing all together, it is hard to fall in the occasion, but trust me when you have this chance, you can consider yourself as a lucky person!
