When taking a bus tour many drivers a paid to take you to places where they sell souveniers. Some of this are quite expensive. So when buying Souveniers it's allways good to check around a bit. Also don't get into buying something you don't want just because a guide told you it is nice. Well I guess this advice goes for all world though I think it's worth mentioning it.
The biggest tourist traps are the prices on the ski lodges on the mountains. It's really expensive to buy some drinks or a dinner. I bought sometime something to drink, and always the prices annoys me. I had to pay 2.70 Euro for 0.5 litre Applejuice. That'S to much! For this price I can buy 2 litre of juice in the supermarket.But if you have too much money you can buy these drinks and these foods up there.

Heimatmuseum Holzgau: we looked for it, we think we found it, but we didn't find the entrance door. What we saw was a kind of a barn with a chicken run and very beautiful paintings on the sidewalls.
Dorint Budget hotel beside the train station is an absolute no-no! The name is deceiving. All right, the rooms are clean and the restaurant is superb, but we could go for cheaper ones!
Watch out for advancing walls of ice when posing for photos. Potentially dangerous.
Don't go shopping in the city center (1 district). Most things are much more expensive than in other districts (eg.:6 or 7).
No real traps known. Austria has not come to me like such a country.
If you pass by motorbike, don't thing because you pay 15 euro for a pass that the road will adequate to this price.
