The best way to go to Tirol and to visit it is surely the individual car. Leave a Comment Theme: Car/Motor Home

Public transport can be horrendously expensive. An hour bus journey is equivalent to a 5 hour trip from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia in terms of dollars and cents. Forget about taxis. I wanted to visit the salt mine in Halien and naively thought that I could do it on two legs. Try walking up the hill with two other lady companions who obviously felt you have taken them for a ride on their poor legs that is. Thank goodness for a kind soul who stopped his car and volunteered to drive us there. And my goodness what a magnificent view it was from the hilltop. The salt mine's highlight was the slide about 4 storeys down the mine. Don't worry about your pants, you will be provided with overalls. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

The UBahn and tram system are excellent, as is the bus system that links city centre and Airport. All are cheap, efficient and easy to use! Leave a Comment Theme: Other
