by clemens

Alcohol. Especially beer is slightly stronger than in the US and relatively cheap. The same goes for wine in some regions. Don't drink yourself to coma like a friend of mine did once! And it's really easy to get - I've seen kids getting beer for their parents in a supermarket.Legal drinking age is 16(much younger than, say the US...)

by clemens

When doing a mountain tour be sure to prepare yourself! Choose one according to your constitution (so you won't break down). Inform yourself about the weather (you don't want to get caught in a thunderstorm). Wear appropiate clothing like hiking boots, long trousers are also a good idea. One should also pack some sunscreen(sun can be quite intense when being high up) and a pullover (it can get quite cold) and some rain protection (don't take an umbrella - it's not handy if you got to climb a bit).As cell phones work on most mountains it's a good idea to take one with you - so you can call help (the emergency number is 112) or phone home and boast a bit ;-)
