Father Frost and Snegurochka by Yogi555 In the heart of Belovezhskaya Pushcha NP, 70 km from Brest to the north, a new tourist attraction has appeared amid the primeval forest in December 2003. That is the permanent residence of the Belarusian Ded Moroz (Father Frost). Visitors are amazed by the fairy-tale palace where Father Frost lives with his granddaughter Snegurochka (The Snow Maiden), who is associated with the name of the Russian composer of the 19th century Rimsky-Korsakov and his fairy-tale opera “Snegurochka” (The Snow Maiden, 1882). She is a must alongside with father Frost at all New Year’s festivities in Belarus. A 42 m spruce, that is 120 years old, is in the center of the site, it is the tallest spruce in Belarus. The site is open all the year round, a paradise for kids and their parents. Leave a Comment Phone: + 375-016-3156267
