Dinamo Brest is the major football team in Brest. They are playing for the middle levels in Belarus Primiere League.
Unfortunately I could not go to any matches as there was a break for one week, but I have seen the team in their bus.
In the second photo you can see the door of the management office. (It was also closed)

Chess was a very popular game in SSSR. Nowadays only old people are playing. In the park which is located at the northern corner of ul. Lenina there is center where the Chess Club is located. You can see old men playing chess outside the garden in summer.

Address: ul. Lenina (Northern corner)
Brest Stadium or its official name: GOSUDARTSVENNIY OBLASTNOY SPORTVONNIY KOMPLOEKS BRESTSKIY"
For me one of the excitements in a city abroad is to go to a football match. The best thing about Belarus is that the football season covers Summer as it is very cold in the winter. So, you may have opportunity to go to a football match.
The Brest Stadium is on the corenr of ul. Gogola and ul. Kommunisticheskaya. Just by the entrance gate of the stadium the schedule of the next match is given.
Unfortunately there was not any matches when I was there, as there was a break for one week. :(

There is center for bowling and billiards on ul. Sovyetskaya (which is the Arbat Street of Brest) and you can play bowling or billiards there with a reasonable price.
But do not pass the red line as I did which is visible from the photo. :)
Equipment: You dont need any equipments, as all are given there.
