Favorite thing: Neither I nor my father has been here before. But the monument to the victims of the WW II definetely shows - this is my motherland. 6 of 100 family names are mine.
I expected to see something like that, but my son was really impressed.

Favorite thing: River Besed' splits here two neiboring villages - Big nemki and Small Nemki.
It is very slow and calm - really proving it's name which can be from Russian "beseda" - a heart-to-heart talk.

Favorite thing: There are many points in Gomel' region with spots of radiation pollution. Road to Nemki is not an exception :(
Along the road you can see signs: "Radiation pollution! No pasture, no haymaking, no berries or mushrooms gathering!"
Though the place is rather far from Chernobyl' pollution map has very curved and unpredictible shape.
