In Belarus, New Year's Eve is widely celebrated, even more than Christmas. In town centers, there is usually a big New Year's Eve tree with beautiful lights and decorations, and many of the town residents go to the tree on New Year's Eve to celebrate with friends and music, and in Bobruisk there was a visit from Santa (Dyed Moroz) and his granddaughter (Snyegurochka).

Drinking birch tree juice.

When in Bobruisk, we tried birch tree juice, which is sold by the carton there. I'm not sure how they get juice from a tree, but it's really good!

Outside of most major towns in Belarus, there are local villages where many people have a small farm and still get their water from a bucket in a well. When in Belarus, you absolutely have to visit one!
