Our Botanical Garden was built in 1932.
With the size of 153 gectars OR 0.6 square miles and collections of 9,000 types of plants, it`s considered to be one of the largest Botanical Gardens in Europe.
It sure is a nice quiet place to walk at, feed the birds in a small Swan lake, sit on the bench..

The Garden is open to visitors from May till October.

Tickets are required. Can be purchased next to the Garden in a booth.

The place is exceptional between May and October and when inside you cannot hear the city traffic noise. Avoid on Fri-Sat in summers - a lot of wedding limos are speeding around the place for cool pics. Avoid the huge high-season queue from the central gate by taking a side-gate from Akademicheskaya Street (leave Akademia Nauk Metro Station and Independence Avenue behind and take a 500-meter walk).
