You will find public transport there quite efficient (though not eaxclty what you might call clean) and taxis relatively cheap.
Consider a taxi if you do not wish to travel crammed into a public means of transportation.

If you click on the picture, you will probably notice a vehicle on it. That is Trolleybus - a kind of common transportation in Minsk. For those who have never tried such a thing, it is something in the middle between bus and tram. :)

If You are in Sweden and You want an in-expensive trip to Belarus You should buy a ticket with BelAvia airlines. The planes doesn't live up to a very high quality because they aren't that new but there is nothing wrong with the service.
Metro, Trolly bus, Bus You take You pick.
Very in-expensive way to get around.
For the ones with a strong heart and those who don't scare easily there is always Taxi. It's more like sitting in a race car and it's a part of 'the Minsk Taxicab Racing Cup'. They are quite cheap though (if You measure it by Swedish cab-fare)

Airplane, train, bus, car.. all goes, depends on where you travelling from.
Use metro, the best and the fast way to get around in the city. Also there're trams, buses and electric-buses ('trolleybus'). Can buy the tickets from kiosks or even some depertment store kassa's.
The prices are really cheap, speacially for tourists.
