I'm really not sure what's the name of this restaurant. I think it's "Pizza", or something. It's located in Maxim Bogdanovich street, near Operah House. Actually, it's a pizza-restaurant, but you can pastas and the other Italian dishes as well. However, I didn't come to Belarus to eat Italian food, so I ordered a dish called Russian Dinner.

In Belarus there is the same kitchen like in Russia.On each road you can find small restaurants to sit in.The prices are very low and the meals are quite good.I advise to go not to MC Donalds. (Only the toilet is good there) Borscht the russion national food.

Don't know why but our local guide must have thought we were homesick for American-style food and took us to a pizza restaurant.So we ate pizza to see how it compared to pizza in America. anyways, it wasn't that bad but we came to Belarus to eat Belarus foods. Definitely not pizza! We had so much left over...

The staple of Belarusian cusine is potatoes. Boiled, smashed, fried, stuffed, potato pie, potato pancakes, with meat, fish, vegetables... The list of recipes includes hundreds of items. Good Belarusian food is easy to find in most restaurants in the cenral part of Minsk and other biggest towns. But the best Belarusian cooking is found in the home. If somebody invites you to the house for a meal, don't miss this chance.

Belarusian bitky, very easy to make and very tasty to eat, look like rissoles made from coarse meat. Usualy is served with boiled potatoes and pickled mushrooms.
