Brugge is a great town, very historical with the famous Brugge's dantelle which is known here as Brusel's dantelle I really don't know why people don't correct this when they know the right name of this beautiful dantelle!

As far as I know this is the most famous museum in Mechelen! :-) This little town is known with this! ;-) For a pity here you see just two more pictures of this wonderful museum! You can take a short trip inside the museum in an old train. :-)

Remember the Belgische frank, franc belge, Belgischer Franken. That is the old currency of Belgium before Euro is adopted in 1999.Still kept the old currency. Gone are the days having to use a calculator to remember how much is it to US dollars when buying some Belgian chocolates.

This is a tripel-style (or possibly Belgian golden) ale from the producers of Hoegaarden Wit Bier. Although the beer is very different, it shares some characteristics with weissbiers, particularly in the spicy, lightly fruity aroma. The beer is also slightly hazy, but its colour is more golden. The palate gives away the strength much more obviously than the nose, but still contains hints of spice - coriander? Complex fruit notes are present in abundance, pineapples being a particularly noticeable (and unusual) contribution. There is a bite in the back of the throat, suggestive of a liqueur (or perhaps a wheat beer with a shot of schnapps in it). Aftertaste is fairly light, with a touch of vanilla amongst the fading fruit and spice. This is a terrifically complex and well-balanced beer, ideal as an aperitif or for savouring in small quantities. Alc 8.7% volAbove review by Oxford Bottled...

I loved Antwerp and eveything there! Wonderful town! I visited a museum under which there was a nice restaurant and lighting was only candles, wooned benches and tables and brick walls. Very romantic place!

Tourist will say : the Mussles with Fries in Ostend- Chocolates in Ghent - Lace in BrugesBut there is many more although it is a very small country in this huge world.A lot of cultural highlights - beautiful cities and the flemish Ardennes landscapeFrom Wervik to Rumst, from Zelzate till RonseMany famous festivals like the one in Ghent (Gentsche Fieste) and the "Lokerse Fieste" in the summer - Sandsculpture in Blankenberge East Flanders

If you really want an interesting cultural experience, buy your train ticket at the counter. If not, just go to one of the automated ticket dispensers available in most train stations. Alternatively you can buy a ticket from the train conductor ie if you were late catching the train or if you boarded from a station that doesn't have a ticket counter. However, be sure to make yourself known to the conductor as soon as you can. Failure to do this, may cost you. Also, buying a ticket from train personnel will often cost extra (unless there was no ticket office where you got on). If you travek using one of the value cards of the Belgian railways (the ones you can use for 10 rides or such), make sure to read the fine print. Often you cannot use them before 8 am for example. Even if you take the train at 7.57 am, the conductor will make you buy an extra ticket if he feels the need to be...
