Limonada: Limonada

by Loulou18

The interior is equal to that of 'Clockwork Orange'. The music is Lounge music and often there is a dj at work. You can really relax here and what you should certainly do is ask for the cheese sticks , it looks very funny and tastes good. The cocktails here are delicious! doesn't matter, but don't show up in your pyamas.

Great spots are 'The winners',...

by Loulou18

Great spots are 'The winners', 'Sous-Sol', 'Club 69', 'Bardot', 'Vooruit concertzaal', 'SMAK'.New is THE CULTURE CLUB!! VERY FUNKYIn the Winners they play R&B music all the time.In de Bardot en de CLub 69 they play very high standard music (very new), but in The bardot you can also hear songs of Madonna and Kosheen/Moloko, 69 is a hotspot (to be seen) in Gent, Sous-Sol is under the ground and 'Vooruit' has two sides, the front to sit and talk about culture or other stuff, the back where they keep very nice parties like poplife and newyear eve's parties. In 'het S.M.A.K' they occasionally hold parties (Belmondo) and they are super! In the day it is a museum for modern art. I believe that only the Winners has a real dresscode. You have to wear 'quality clothes', so no sneakers, but Timberlands or something like that. You also have to pay the 'Buitensmijter'(man at the door). Hte others do...

by queenlivia

There are so many places to have fun in Belgium. Chose any bar you like, and just drink one of the beste beers in the world. There's a lot to dance and stuff. For the Americans maybe it will be annoying all the smoke in those bars! Oh there's no dresscode!

by Huapi

Brussels has lots of private clubs. You have to ring to get in (don't ask me why). In Brussels I would go for the area around St. Goriksplein and the Markten, hippest place to be now.In Gent, Leuven and Liège (major student cities) there are tons of extremily nice pubs. Clubs you will mainly find between Antwerp and Brussels (the Zillion, La Rocca,...)or around Liège.For cultural activities, hit for the cultural capital of Belgium: Ghent. But you can find an almost equal amount of things to do in the other cities.

The CLARIDGE ('Chez Johnny',...

by daniel.braun

The CLARIDGE ('Chez Johnny', for the addicted)The 'chez Johnny' evenings at the Claridge club are based on humorous themes, and is an unusual feature of Brussel's night scene. Each fridays and saturdays, these wild parties bring together a motley crowd whose only desire is to have fun and not to take each other too seriously...Every evening, two new DJs clash on stage. The amount of applause each receives determines who is the winner. Then the winner will continue to play single-handed.Playing more disco music than techno, this atypical nightclub seems bent on removing all your complexes and inhibitions (electronic music fans might tend to be bored in this ambiance). At 'Chez Johnny', they have honed making derisive comments to a fine art. The tradition where the girls invite the boys to dance for fifteen minutes has been established again in this establishment, and the DJs challenge each...

Cafes are the place to be and...

by richiecdisc

Cafes are the place to be and it certainly doen't have to be at night. Brussles: Falstaff is a must. They serve their beers on little silver platters with the appropriate glass. You feel like royalty. The decor is timeless and the prices the same as everwhere else. Bier Circus has the most extensive beer selection in Brussels. Countless others. Antwerp: Kulminator is one the great beer cafes in the world. You can drink 20 year old Trappist beers.Great old place as well and the owner is a trip. Brugge: The Brugs Beertje is the best for beer and the barman, Chris, the most helpful I found in Belgium. Some of these cafes will make you feel like you've stepped back in time. Others have beers you can't find anywhere else. You really can wear anything even to the Falstaff which is positively stuffy looking.

by B_Caro

When you are in Belgium during the summertime, you should visit one of the many open air festivals that are organised all over the country. In most cases, it's not only a 'nightlife' activity, but also 'daylife' activity. You will find all kinds of music.an enumeration of some of them:Rock Werchter - Bruges: Cactusfestival - Leuven : Beleuvenissen, Marktrock - Boechout (nearby Antwerp): Sfinks - Tienen: Suikerrock - Mechelen: Maanrock - Antwerp : De zomer van Antwerpen - Zeebrugge: beachfestival - Gent: De Gentse feesten - Lokeren: Lokerse Feesten - Hoogstraten: De Antilliaanse feesten - Hasselt: pukkelpop - Dranouter: Folkfestival - Gent: Polé Polé - .......... Some of them are free, for others you have to pay Whatever you like

Drink beer!: Drink beer!

by sabsi

The belgians are the world champions of beer variations, it's so amazing! There are hundreds if not thousands of different beers - and every one is served with the matching glass. My favourite beers are the fruity ones, esp. Lindemanns Framboise (Raspberry) and Mort Subite Peche (Peach). The funny glass on the picture is the one a brew called 'Kwak' is served in. Probably the most exotic glass!

I would really recommend...

by chanzey

I would really recommend Leuven for a night of fun on the town. Easy to reach from Brussels (but much smaller, and a better atmosphere). Just catch a train and get the first one back into Brussels the next day (trains start at app. 5.30 am)The old marketplace is an excellent place to go for a good night out in Belgium. They say the Old Market has the 'longest bar' in the country - meaning there are loads and loads of pubs and cafes all over the place and to everyone's liking. If you like jazz and blues music, it might be a good idea to check out De Blauwe Kater in Naamsestraat. Adjoining there also is a venue where students can have parties. I also like Rumba, which is just off the Old Market facing the Naamsestraat. You will find Leuven is mostly a place to go and have a drinks (or a few) in the pub, rather than going clubhopping. There really aren't many clubs. There was Samambaia in...
