by Mahieu You can admire this statue on the bridge from the station to the city centre (Place Buisset) It represents a miner. Charleroi and surroundings has been a very important mine region in the 19th and first half of the 20th century. On the other side of the bridge there is a similar statue of a blacksmith. by thisisbanane There are a lot of caves around Charleroi, many of which are well worth a visit (when I remember the name of the ones I saw I'll type it in!!) . To get to the caves that I went to, you have to take a tram from the ticket office to the cave entrance, and I guy comes round and takes photos of the passengers with his little bird! Leave a Comment
