Dedicated to St John Baptist, the church, close to the tower, shows vestiges of an old construction from the 16Th century, together with parts from the 19Th.
The tower of Gosselies is the only remaining part of a castle from the 15Th century, recently restored. It is open to the public, but... not on Mondays, our day there. Bad luck.

This is a restaurant chain that is based on what Europeans imagine an American grill would be...
but since its in Belgium you can forget the free water and the coffee re-loads though!LOL
On arrival it semed that you should wait to be seated as this was the indication...however we soon got bored and set off in search of our own table...which was greeted with a bit of suprise and raised eyebrows we think..were we supposed to politely wait forever?. I dont know...anyway we got a table and ordered some drinks....which duly arrived...normally when they arrive with your drinks they are ready to take your food order...well not here apparently..off she went again...the next we saw of her was that she came to clean the table of the people who were sat near us as they had actually been served!
finally she took our order and after not too long given the previous circumstances our food arrived and for the prices they charge I would of expected twice as much food to be honest...but what there was was reasonably good and apparently you can get more fries if you like(BUT since they were mass produced deep frozen fries we didnt like!)
We normally dont order desserts but felt compelled to do so since we were still a bit hungry...not a good sign..and true to form these then took an eon to arrive...but were good, if also mass produced, when they did.
They also serve a range of salads and hamburgers and oddly enough they have a cocktail list??!!??
Favorite Dish: I had the mixed grill and it was quite good with several kinds of meat..but not a lot of it Add had the barbeque ribs and there were not many of those either
the deserts of Creme Brullee and Chocolate Brownie with Creme Anglaise were good
