Chez Henri is a very well known restaurant, close to the Grand'Place. It's known for its good value for money. Don't expect any "haute cuisine", just good ordinary Belgian food: mussles, steak, French fries, ...
Every year, the restaurant gets a mention in the "Guide du Routard".

Délifrance is still the French bakery products leader worldwide. It also has a division in Mons, in the Grand' Rue, in the middle of the shopping street. During summer, there is an outdoor café from which you can enjoy eating your freshly baked croissants or sandwiches.

If you want to have a gastronomic lunch in Mons, this is defintely one of the places to go (the other one would be Devos).
This highly rated restaurant provides fine french food in enough quantity and relatively not too expensive.
They vary their menu rather often. You also have the possibilty to get a 'wine menu': for each dishes on the menu you would receive a different wine fitting the food at best.
This is for sure not the place to go wearing 'tourist clothes', a suit for men would be more than welcome...

This is almost an institution in Mons, if you want a good lunch, quickly and not too expensive, there is one place to go in Mons, this is Chez Henri...
Favorite Dish: You can get dishes as simple as a 'Spaghetti Bolognaise' or better their delicious lamb skewers!!

This is a cute little shop near the center of town I visited a few times and then I found out it is a chain with branches in the US.
Favorite Dish: Pain au chocolat the best breakfast food ever ask for deu piece chocolat in yours, I ate one nearly everyday for a month, I think the University I went to ordered them from here.
