I've made a visit guide by Claude of the "Ploegsteert Sector Battlefield Experience" we spent a half day in and around Plugstreet Wood ant the afternoon in Armentières Fromelles anf Loos.
Very nice day, nice weather, a good guide, and at least a few good beers in l'Auberge that night.

Run by Nelly & Claude, teh auberge situated opposite Ploegsteert Memorial is the place to be if you need a tip on WW1 around there.
The restaurant is known by many locals and visitors for Claude's fine cooking.
A sandwich or a large menu, you are always welcome, and try that Chouffe beer, it is worth a visit.
Favorite Dish: Eel in cream or Green sauce.
they are amazing good, fresh tasty a dream
Mussels in white wine with (as Claude says) Belgian Fries only in July, August and september, the best Mussels I have ever eat!
Fillet steak with Foie gras and Port sauce. My wife took that, we had never tried it but it is delicious
