Unless you are absolutely bored, I wouldn’t really recommend going to the cinema in Tournai.
Some time ago, there were two of them, “Le Variete” and “Le Multiscope”. The first one went broke some time ago and the other one is still surviving…
If you have never seen anything else, it could look ok but once you have tasted to some bigger complex such as Kinepolis (or even ImagiMons), even the “big room” in Tournai looks rather small!
Don’t expect to see many ‘Original Version’ here, your choice will be rather limited too and even more annoying, there is always a 10min break during the movie…
***update ***
This is now part of history!! This theatre has now been closed and replaced by a brand new complex close to the station, Imagix

Located in the Saint Brice area, this pub/club is not close from the 'center' (Grand-Place / Quai ) but that's its advantage as well : not too difficult to find a parking place and not (yet) excessively crowded!!
This is a cosy pub (where you can even order different kind of Champagne) with a small dance floor...
It only opens its doors around 7pm but, even during the week, it stays opens late in the night (5-6am)! In Tournai, this is probably one of the last pubs to close!!

On the same square, this pub deserves a specific mention: this is the only place in Tournai where you could find draught Guiness… Agreed we have more than enough Belgian beers but sometime I’ve to admit it is also nice to have one of these Irish stouts!
The pub itself is also worth a visit, very specific atmosphere!! During the week, this is a meeting point for art students but during the WE, the place is mostly left to the bargemen...

Part of the nightlife in Tournai happens here on the small square along the Escaut River (Quai du Marche aux Poissons).
Le Contre-Quai and La Fabrique are two small pubs always crowded.
Once the weather allows it, they install their terraces, a nice place to enjoy a beer during a summer evening…
