Guess why you have to stand in a queue for a long time to get one of these gorgeous waffles. You could smell it in the whole square in front of the cathedral... freshly baked waffles!
Or cold ones with a thick layer of chocolate!
It's just wonderful sitting at the fountain in the middle of the square, eating waffles, watching people etc..

If you like local specialties you can not leave the city without having tasted a sweet `Gaufre de Liège` (Waffle of Liège).
You will find this delicacy at every bakery and even at stands in the street.

The waiter was very nice and helped us out since we were unable to read the menu.....Nice cafe where you can relax and just watch the people walk by....
Favorite Dish: hmmm.....they had some really good dessert that was little ice cream filled pastries.....I can't remember the name of it though.....

Chez Calimero, here you can taste some of the best Pitas in town,and quite good price, don't stay in, just too small, it's more like a take away! Tastes best around 3 am when you need some fuel to keep up with the party!

La Brasserie right at the Place de la Cathedral is an excellent budget choice for traditional Belgian food. I would recommend the Baguettes or the salads.
