Le Menthe a L'Eau: Local Trout, waffles & Beer

by Orchid Written Mar 3, 2013
    Waffles & Dark Beer

The Brasserie is located at the at the end of Place Vertes. You can eat inside, or as we chose, outside under awnings.
We enjoyed especially Trout cooked in the style of the Ardennes, with almonds and cream sauce. There are ample local wines and beers to sample as well.

    The cost is moderate

    Restaurant Le Relais: Excellent trout

by Museeuw Written Apr 17, 2007

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

This was the restaurant of the hotel we stayed in (see hotel tips). It was excellent. The atmosphere was great, the wine was good and the food was fantastic. My wife never really liked the fish in Belgium, until she ate the trout in this restaurant. It was so good that the day after she ate the same dish for lunch.

Favorite Dish: Trout Meunière (with melted butter)

Les Saisons de Spa: Les Saisons de Spa

    by myriam_c Written Dec 26, 2006

Les Saisons de Spa is located in the luxury Radisson Sas Palace hotel, right across from the tourist office.

Favorite Dish: We had lunch at the brasserie. Unfortunately not all the dishes listed were available. We ate very well, nevertheless.

La Dolce Vita: very populair italian

by tompt Written Jun 18, 2004

It was very busy in this restaurant on a friday night. This means it is a populair one. People were even waiting to get a table.

Food was good, but we tought they tried to push too many people in too little space, which made the atmosphere not great. Not the place for a romantic dinner for two!

"La Mort Subit" ... or sudden death: A traditional in many Belgian towns

    by Pavlik_NL Written Aug 9, 2003

Looking along the streets in Spa for some water

Also in Spa they have that cafe that has the name of bringing it's visitors sudden death. No, the waiter won;t stab you in the back with a sharp knife ... it's just that this is one of the famous and deliscious Belgian beers. If enjoying a cafe, restaurant or lunchroom in Spa, reckon with the fact that the pricelevel here is little higher then the average in Belgium and preferable ask for "Spa" in stead of mineral water ...
