Great looking train station inside & out
Just stop and take a moment to view the grand old train station inside and outside. Directly out the front and across the street is a war memorial. Public transportation is jut out the front on the right you can't miss them. If you are taking a Taxi from here there is usually one or two, out and to the left.Related to:
A Glimpse into the Centre
After about 10 minutes walk I reached this square off Rue Xhavéer, which marks the beginning of the town centre. The square does not seem to have a particular name. It has several outdoor restaurants and looks pleasant for a rest and a coffee or beer. The shopping street that begins here, pedestrianized, looks quite urban. I had to turn round here because I was running out of time and would have risked to miss my train, unfortunately. The old town of Verviers is located further beyond. Next time...Related to:
The Giant Egg
This funny artwork is located in the park opposite the theatre: a giant bolied egg for your breakfast, with the eggshell made from bricks... I cannot tell you anything about artist or background, but I think it deserves a mentioning.Related to:

They have good food on a Portugese style including beef, fish & shellfish. They say in the tradition and charm of Portugal in a spectacular natural setting. The setting very nice though, I have never been to Portugal to confirm it. Open from 10h to 15h and from 18h to 23h, in the week to 24h.
Open on (statutory) holidays. A nice place to visit with a friend for a quiet relaxing afternoon or evening.
Favorite Dish: The grilled beef is my favorite. And they have a good selection of Belgian beers.Related to:

Verviers Warnings and Dangers
You might fall in love with Verviers
While not really a danger, you might fall in love with Verviers and long to visit here again and again. It is a nice town to walk around with great restaurants and bars with an excellent selection of beers in the city center. The center is about a 5 block from the central train station.Related to:
