Bouillon lies in the beautiful region: the province of Luxembourg. Mind you, that is the name of the province, which is not the same as the nearby principality Luxembourg.
The province has many (listed) natural areas, woods, hills, caves. Charming villages, many museums and sporting activities.
You can use Googlemaps to locate yourself but VT has a great (satellite view) map as wel.

It's not that it is the nicest church we ever saw. But we were lured by the carillon, as always. So we went to have a look on coming down from the fortress anyway.
We saw a parish church, not necessarily very impressive but nice nonetheless.
It's a rather steep walk up the hill to the Viewpoint at Belvedere but it's worth the effort. The trail begins down at the river, and charges up the slope. Takes about 15 mins at a good pace, even if the last 5 minutes feel like 5 months! Make sure you have good shoes.
Warning - It's NOT for people with heart or breathing problems!
If you are travelling in the southeast part of Belgium don´t miss little town Bouillon near French border. In Bouillon you should visit the old castle on top of the hill by the river.
In the castle is tamed birds and they have show every day (once in hour??) Check the times. The show is quite impressive. There is nominal admission fee into the castle.
Canoeing on the river Semois - 'Where the hermit-thrush sings in the pine trees, Drip drop drip drop drop drop drop, But there is no water' (T.S. Eliot)
