On the 4th of february 1945, this little town was chosen to be the final restingplace to thousands of American and German soldiers.
In 1947 all the Americans were taken home or to the new cemeterie in Henri-Chapelle and Neuville-en-Condroz.
In Recogne are 6807 German soldiers buried...
