    This house become the town hall in 1951.
    Before that, "la maison du bailli" was officially the house of the mayor.
    Originally a property of the abbay, it has been rebuilt in 1589 by the Salmier family.
    Located not far from the city wall, it has probably been used in the defense of the city...

    Originally part of the abbey this church became the parish church in 1810.
    Following the french revolution the abbey had been dismantled but the commune of Gembloux had been allowed to buy the church back to replace its old St Sauveur church...

    Founded in 1860, this faculty is housed in the building of the previous abbey.
    As a particularity, its students are brewing their own beer since the beginning of the 80ies : la Biere de l'Abbaye de Gembloux...

    Every first weekend of August, "la braderie" is a popular event.
    Mix between a sale and a traditional "kermesse", it is gathering a lot of the local people.
