In 2005 Antwerp University has been formed out of the three different universities that existed before, resp. UFSIA, RUCA and UIA.
All campus sites got new names: in the city it became Stadscampus (City campus); in Wilrijk RUCA has been split up in Campus Groenenborger and Campus Middelheim; UIA was renamed Campus Drie Eiken (three oakes, but I am still searching for them!).
The University has bought new places, build new buildings (revewed library; Meerminne) or renewed old ones like the monastery of the Grauwzusters.
The amount of students has been growing increasingly.
The university and most of the Antwerp highschools are now known as the UAHA and they have cooperative aggreements that highens the quality and reduces the costs.
The buildings situated at the Prinsstraat deserves a seperate explication of their own.
You can visit these places when the university is opened. You can have a drink at the cafetaria or a meal at the student's restaurant or a pit stop at their toilets.
