In the Bourla theatre you can eat delicious food from a big buffet. I haven't eaten here myself, but we did take a look. You can sit under these stunning lamps, so a great ambiance is guarenteed. Unfortunately since I haven't eaten here I can't tell you naything about the price, but I think because the restaurant is situated in an historic building prices are pretty steep!
This is a theatre. A few years ago we were invited by Belgian friends for a brunch here.
Well, the brunch was great and the ambiance more so!
The restaurant is on the first floor (where the flags are), high ceilings, chandeliers, woodwork, very stylish.
Run by Anne De Ridder and Eugene Haesaerts.
Favorite Dish: I only know about the brunch and as it was an invitation, I don't know what it cost.
One side of this place is a restaurant, very modern with leather fauteuils which looked really comfortable.
I didn't eat here but had drinks in a separate section, also quite modern. Good music, interesting menu. You can sit here alone and read the paper if you like.
Favorite Dish: Huh....I just had a Looza orange juice and a good espresso doppio (double espresso).
They make a good Coffee Parisienne (like Irish coffee but with Grand Marnier). The cream sits on the coffee well, and doesn't mix with the coffee, making it a clear darkbrown/white drink, like it should be.
A doppio is € 2,20
French or Parisien coffee is € 5,60
an orange juice is € 1,70
This is the foyer cafe of the Bourla theatre. Its a very elegant sort of place - very much set in the past, with fine decoration and a nice view out over the street.
Favorite Dish: Never mind what's MY favourite dish. Caro had this enormous fruit cocktail. No wonder she's smiling so much! You can see what I had on the next tip...
This is one of the best uses of a space that would otherwise get very little use except during performances.
Favorite Dish: Apple struedel with cinnamon ice cream and whipped cream :))))
Favorite Dish: Well, I chose this "Javanese" cake - I had no idea what it was - it turned out to be coffee sponge cake. It was very nice indeed - but it was also VERY SMALL :-S
The Foyer in the recently renovated Borla Theatre.
This restaurant is in an incredibly beautiful and spacious round room -- the foyer of the theatre.
