Hangar 41: A pub along waterfront
Nothing is easier than finding a pub in Antwerp. One is spoilt with choices, be it Irish pubs, traditional cafés or trendier pubs.
After walking for hours under the sun, soaking it up, we considered sitting somewhere, sipping refreshing drinks.
Of course, we got our bottles of water but hey, we would like to have a good time, not only taking pictures.
We first headed to a pub Dannie knows. Unfortunately, it was not open that day. Then we went waterfront and decided to land at the next pub we found.
Luckily enough, the first we encountered was Hangar 41, a trendy one from seeing people there. It is located at the basement of a blue-grey building. Some seductive post-modern design.
The terrace seems the place to base yourself, to have a view on traffic on waterfront as well as views of the water. Of course, this adds to the sexy setting. Interior fits the post-modern style of waterfront area as well. (see my upcoming T-log of waterfront style)
Don't miss it, at least for people watching :-) Service was rather cold, waiter was polite though.
Favorite Dish: We had drinks there, landing there at 3 pm.
I saw on the menu that they served breakfast and some pub luncheon as well. I don't know about the quality of food.
