“Hey”, said Razali, alias Raz, alias “banditleader” on VT, “you know I have friends running a Malaysian restaurant in Antwerp?
I was there when I visited Antwerp years ago.
Ok! For me reason enough to explore!
“Give them my regards” he said “when you are there. Tell them it is the Raz the guerrilla who sent you.”
It took a bit of explication but they did remember him!! So you have their greetings back Raz!
Tom and Gonnie, or ever-favoured friends from Noordeinde in the Netherlands, joined us that day.
You can see the four of us on the picture if you enlarge: Tompt, Irisbe & Diamonddog.
Favorite Dish:
We went for the delicious soup and a mixture of sateh’s.
Delicious!
We took additional an extra plate with baked rice as we considered only the sateh’s would be a bit few.
The sauces that came with it were tasteful.
The interior is pretty nice as well and will add to the exotic atmosphere.
I would say, if you like something more different and want to pay a little extra for it, then this is a place I can recommend.
A great Malaysian restaurant. About 10 years ago, I already went to this restaurant and anno 2003 it is still there. This says a lot about the good reputation. The interior is kind of special. You have the impression of sitting in a green cave. Service is good and friendly and the food is delicious but quite spicy.
During the weekends, you need to make reservations.
Favorite Dish:
I like the menu with Satay (beef, chicken or pork on skewers with peanut sauce) served with coco rice and vegetables as appetizer and a main course with different kinds of meat in different kinds of sauces, as you can see on the pic. In this way, you can taste the best Malaysia has to offer. Drink it with a glass of wine or a Singapore beer called Tiger.
Kuala Lumpur is a malaysian restaurant. It serves typical malaysian dishes.
The interior is very nice, the ceiling is looking like a cave and the cave is filled with asian artefacts.
The restaurant is open from 12-15 and 18 -24 h.
Favorite Dish:
Satay, satay and satay.
You can choose what sort of meat is on your satay, chicken, lamb, pork or even fish. The meat is grilled on a bamboo stick. The satay is served with a spicey peatnut sauce, coconut rice and vegetables.
