When you are in the old part of Antwerp and don't want to spend too much money on your food, choose one of the many Shoarma eateries on the Oude Koornmarkt. Mama's Garden is one of the better one's with a lovely interior.
Favorite Dish:
Pitta, this is a typical small round bread that you need to fill with shoarma, chicken or falafel (veggie). They are served with 6 different sauces (garlic, curry, cocktail (some kind of thousand islands sauce), hot tomato, hot onion and some green sauce).

Probably the best falafel on the continent. It comes with six different sauces and lots of healthy fresh vegetables. And of course the splendid view of people going by in the strict centre of the Old Town.
