At the cemetary in Mortsel Dorp you will find the monument that was put up in honour of the resistant during the WWII.
Behind this monument you can see the white crosses of the civilian victims of the 5th of April 1943 allied bombardment and behind that the monument of this bombardment.
At the grave yard near the Sint Benedictus church in Mortsel-Dorp you can find the family burrial place of the Gevaert family.
Lieven Gevaert was the founder of the Agfa-Gevaert factory in Mortsel, providing many people work.
Midsummer festival at Fort IV in 2002... a start of a new tradition?
This pictures is taken from a group of Madagascar. They were here singing a song about "bringing in the men" or ... about girls walking in the street and shouting where the (real) men are (the sticks has some symbolic meaning here)
Mortsel recently bought the Fort and opened it to the public.
Last Summer there were many activities.
