Nice bar with friendly people behind the bar. On Friday mostly visited by young people (age 16-25) and on Saturday more likly to find somewhat older people (20-40). On Thursday there's often a special event what we call in Flanders 'a TD'. That's a party for the students and it's always something different: Tequila night, Disco night, etc, etc

As being the capitol and centre of the region "Kempen" Turnhout is attracting a lot of youth and older youngsters that want have fun in the evenings and nights, especially in the weekends. Turnhout has many café's with terraces and offers also other partylife in dancings, (night)clubs and discotheques). Most café's and restaurants are around the Grote Markt, the larger discotheques are situated outside the city centre.

On the market square of Turnhout one finds the "Kurzaal". The name would point out to a health care centre or spa-institute, but ... wrong! ... this is a cinema. Here you can watch films Belgian style, which means often four lines of subtitling underneath the images. Two sentences Dutch, two in French.

This is an Irish pub and also my favourite place in Turnhout. As in every Irish pub you find here also very good Guinness. Frequently there are life concerts too...
